CHOOSING GOD OVER MONEY!

Today he's choosing Jesus over Money! 

Luke 19:5-9

5 When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and said to him, “Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today.” 6 So he came down at once and welcomed him gladly.7 All the people saw this and began to mutter, “He has gone to be the guest of a sinner.”8 But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount.”9 Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham.

There are some people who will never make it to heaven. Sometimes it can be harder for some people.Mark 10:25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.They will rely on their money and wont learn what it really means to rely on God. The prodigal had his inheritance yet didnt understand how much he needed the father until all his money was gone! Yes i work hard yes and i have nice things yet my motive is not the money. That will come I am here to follow Jesus and he will supply my needs. Matthew 6:33But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. God doesnt mind blessing you but you have to ask yourself what do you put first? Him or Money? Well today he choose Jesus over money will you?


Who you serving or what you serving? 

Matthew 6:24 “No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.

Are you serving God or are you serving money? Who do you depend on? Do you depend on your money or God? I know we need money to get through this world but if your serving God he will make sure you have what you need to get through life.I have no degree because I choose to follow Jesus out of college. God blessed me with a good job with benefits. Who am i trusting? Well if it the money i definitely would have stayed in college because i want my kids to have a good life. Yet i have a good life! Everytime i have a need God opens the door to make sure i can meet that need. I had a roommate my jobs matched me having a roommate. God wanted me to move into my own condo he gave me a job to meet that need. I lack for nothing it is not the money who makes me. I may not know how my needs will be meet but i know God will supply them. Im serving God! Who or what you serving?


Keeping Something From God ?

Acts 5 
5 But a man named Ananias, with his wife Sapphira, sold a piece of property, 2 and with his wife's knowledge he kept back for himself some of the proceeds and brought only a part of it and laid it at the apostles' feet. 3 But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back for yourself part of the proceeds of the land? 4 While it remained unsold, did it not remain your own? And after it was sold, was it not at your disposal? Why is it that you have contrived this deed in your heart? You have not lied to man but to God.” 5 When Ananias heard these words, he fell down and breathed his last. And great fear came upon all who heard of it. 6 The young men rose and wrapped him up and carried him out and buried him.

What are you keeping from God??? What do you have that God could use! I just got my condo but God can use it how he pleases he blessed me with it. God gave me my car God can use it how he pleases he blessed me with it. God is a supplier of all my needs what ever he gives me if he wants to use it well its his. God once told me to get ride of all my clothing so i did. He asked me to get ride of it who was i to tell God no. Or to keep it from what he was trying to do. It wasnt mine to keep! What you keeping from God!? yoUR RELATIONSHIP YOUR MONEY YOUR HEALTH YOUR KIDS? YOUR LIFE?



Today He's giving it all away to follow Jesus! 

Matthew 19:21Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

It is one thing for someone to beg you to change. To beg you to follow. IT is another thing for you to willing give it up! Jesus can't force you to serve him you have to want to yourself. You have to want to give up your life to follow him! It is a blessing when someone choose to give up their life to serve the Lord! Its like having a relationship Im making this choice to follow you the choice to love you. The choice to want to be here the choice to want change. At all cost im willing to give up everything to have this relationship with you. Today he's give it all away to follow Jesus!
