Defeating Your Giants: Moving Forward!

Just because You couldnt do it doesnt mean i Can't

1 Samuel 17: 26 And David spake to the men that stood by him, saying, What shall be done to the man that killeth this Philistine, and taketh away the reproach from Israel? for who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?27 And the people answered him after this manner, saying, So shall it be done to the man that killeth him.28 And Eliab his eldest brother heard when he spake unto the men; and Eliab's anger was kindled against David, and he said, Why camest thou down hither? and with whom hast thou left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know thy pride, and the naughtiness of thine heart; for thou art come down that thou mightest see the battle.

I have learned that people who have not faced their Giants or have not done something correctly will discourage you not to take that step. They only go from their experience. Don't get married but its because they are divorced and their marriage didn't work. Dont do this. Dont do that. Their experience doesnt help others it only hinders others. It hinders them from taking steps of Faith!!!! Sometimes we don't understand that. Yet we have to take a step back and look and think for ourselves. Look just because you couldnt do it sucessfully doesnt mean I can't.

I'm Not Doing it Your way Its not proven to work..!

1 Samuel 17:38 And Saul armed David with his armour, and he put an helmet of brass upon his head; also he armed him with a coat of mail.39 And David girded his sword upon his armour, and he assayed to go; for he had not proved it. And David said unto Saul, I cannot go with these; for I have not proved them. And David put them off him.40 And he took his staff in his hand, and chose him five smooth stones out of the brook, and put them in a shepherd's bag which he had, even in a scrip; and his sling was in his hand: and he drew near to the Philistine.

Like I said when your getting advice from someone you want something you know is going to work. Not something you don't know will work. You want results not failure. David took off Sauls armour because he didnt know if it would work what he did know would work is what he had used time and time before! Some Stones and Faith!!!! Stick with what you know works!

Doing something they never did!

1 Samuel 17:49 And David put his hand in his bag, and took thence a stone, and slang it, and smote the Philistine in his forehead, that the stone sunk into his forehead; and he fell upon his face to the earth.50 So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and smote the Philistine, and slew him; but there was no sword in the hand of David.

When you face Giants and you defeat them. Especially Giants others have not faced. You are doing something they never did. You can move forward in faith! Let them stay angry and upset and confused because they never did what they needed to do to believe they could live a better life past their fears. If they want to wonder in the wilderness their whole life so be it. Yet you refuse to stay their you want to move forward!

Yes they will hate you because of your success

1 Samuel 18:6 And it came to pass as they came, when David was returned from the slaughter of the Philistine, that the women came out of all cities of Israel, singing and dancing, to meet king Saul, with tabrets, with joy, and with instruments of musick.7 And the women answered one another as they played, and said, Saul hath slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands.8 And Saul was very wroth, and the saying displeased him; and he said, They have ascribed unto David ten thousands, and to me they have ascribed but thousands: and what can he have more but the kingdom?

When you conquer your fear! When you do something they never did. When you win you battle. When you can move forward in faith. When you have a healthy relationship and they couldnt. When you get your degree and they didn't. When you get that job and they didnt. When you move forward with your life and they didnt. When you get sober and they still trying to get clean. When your life changes and you have victory and they don't they will get mad. Dont sweat it. You did what you had to do you had faith rejoice in your victoy let them be mad! Your moving to better places!
