Cancel Your Plans

Cancel your plans and Make Room For Gods Plans 

 “Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails” (Proverbs 19:21).

 Cancel:  decide or announce that (an arranged or planned event) will not take place.

 In my life I've made so many plans. I've told God so many times what I was going to do. Yet God had plans for me. So I had to cancel my plans and start making room for Gods. I should have already graduated college but he had me quit my Junior year. Sometimes we have plans we have 5 years plans we think we know where our lives is heading and God says different.

Plans Changed

Acts 9:6

“And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.”

This is one of my favorite scriptures. Sauls on his way to Damascus and all of a sudden. Jesus stops him and ask him why is he persecuting him. Right there at that moment Sauls plans are canceled and changed. He went from Killing Christians who believed in Jesus to asking Jesus what would you have me to do? Jesus answered him and told him what to do and he did just that. He followed Jesus instructions.

Follow Instructions

Psalm 32:8

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.

When God changes your plans you must follow his instructions. Its like your system is rerouting from where you were before heading to a new destination. You dont know where your going but you must follow his direction so that you will be able to end up in the right location. Becareful to listen closely to what God is telling you. You dont want to get lost or end up at the wrong destination. a New destination can be scary because you have never been there before but its can be exciting because its new.

A New Destination 

Hebrews 11:8

By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed by going out to a place which he was to receive for an inheritance; and he went out, not knowing where he was going.

   "a popular destination for golfers"

I love new destinations. Im a traveler. Its like transitions i love them to because its a new destination.  I love experiencing new places in life. The only thing about new places in life is they are unfamiliar. So going into an unfamiliar place your not going to understand everything. Its like when i first moved to Florida i didnt understand the roads i had no clue to where i was going. It was hard at first but it got better then more i traveled around the city. Soon i didnt need my gps anymore and i could move around freely.
