Reaching For your Goals!

Philippians 3:13-14

13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

reach

stretch out an arm in a specified direction in order to touch or grasp something.

Do you have a Goal? If you don't today is a good day to make a goal! Once you have a Goal you can start reaching for it. How do you reach for your goal. Well it depends on what your goal is. Do you want to go to college? Well what do you need to accomplish that? Maybe applying for financial aid, maybe applying for college, maybe showing up for classes once your accepted.! MAybe its to go on vacation! Where do you want to go? How much money do you need to save up for ticket, hotel, and food? What activities will you do when you get there? Many people have goals the thing is once you have a goal you reach for it just dont sit and do nothing or else your goal wont be accomplished.. so reach reach until you accomplish what you set out to do!

You cant reach goals if you dont set any!

Habakkuk 2:2

And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.

How can you reach your goals if you havents set any goals? So what are your goals? Think about it? Sometimes goals are long term sometimes they are short term. My goal this month is to prepare for Canada. My goal for long term right now is to work on moving to Atlanta and buying a house there so i can have kids and be a stay at home mom. Yet i know what my goals are. You must set goals in order to achieve a goal.

Making a  plan

Habakkuk 2:2-3

2 Then the Lord replied:

“Write down the revelation

    and make it plain on tablets

    so that a herald[a] may run with it.

3 For the revelation awaits an appointed time;

    it speaks of the end

    and will not prove false.

Though it linger, wait for it;

    it[b] will certainly come

    and will not delay.

I usually don't like to plan things. Yet I hate not having direction. For the last few years I just lived in Gods plan and he told me what to do. Well recently he told me to write a plan to make my life clear to where I am headed. So that's what I am going to do. I am going to write this vision so that I'm not just wondering not knowing what I am doing but I'll know what I am doing because I have a plan. I can see clearly now because God has given me a plan and its clear as day. And I can focus on where I'm headed.

Having some type of direction

Proverbs 29:18

18 Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

Now im not saying you need a 5 year plan. But atleast have a short term Goal and then once you complete that make somemore Goals. Im not a 5 year plan type of female im more of a month by month person but dont get me wrong sometimes it changes. Yet its good to have some type of direction right now in my life im focused on paying off my school debt and travel. Then when im done with that who knows but for the time being thats my direction
