To be better than your Offender
turn the other cheek
refrain from retaliating when one has been attacked or insulted.
refrain from retaliating when one has been attacked or insulted.
Matthew 5:38-39
“You have heard that it was said, ‘Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth. 39 But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also.
People are malicious! And sometimes its very hard not to protect yourself when people are hurting you. You want to retaliate back from the things they are doing to you and saying to you and how they are acting towards you. Often wanting to do the same actions to them that they are doing to you. You hit me i hit you. You call me harsh names i do the same to you tit for tat. Well sometimes you just gotta leave people in their own maliciousness. Then it just shows how malicious they are and that you Be better than them.
