Mourning Dead Situations

 Now Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died -John 11:21-27

 We have all been there had a situation in our life that we know that God could control from falling apart, control from dying, he's God we know what he can do. Martha and Mary knew this very well they knew Jesus could save their brother Lazarus in his sick state when he had just little life left in him but Jesus never came. Jesus never showed up. You start wondering where are you Lord? Do you hear me? Do you see my pain? I know you can fix this so please come and fix it!

            Yet Jesus Never Came!!!

 Yet instead he waited 4 days until Lazarus died.In our lives sometimes 4 days  is not always 4 days but its weeks,months,years, and Jesus just lets the situation just die. You have done everything to nurse the situation, prayed every prayer, fasted every fast, cried tears, pleaded, begged, yet the more you tried to hold on to the the situation it just fell through your hands like sand.

     The other day a friend of mine was shot 6 times. Sitting in the hospital I saw many tears pouring down people's faces as he held on for dear life. They had me pray for him and the doctors gave him 5% chance to live. So I prayed Lord we know even if the doctor says no you can still say yes. I did't know what to do it was out of my control I can't be God.I had faith that God  would show up but he never did. That was Friday by Saturday he slowly faded and let go. Lord where are you?

            Lord Where Are You?

God promises us that he would never leave us nor forsake us. So why does it seem like in those moments he is silent. Like you can hear pins dropped on the floor. Hello do you hear us? God are you there? We are crying out from the depths of our soul! I mean any other day we pray for something to eat and you provide an answer or something with something to eat. Not today though when this is a serious situation. Lazarus ( Whatever Lazarus is in your life) is sick and is dying Lord please before its to late?

There I  was I fell in love for the first time in my life. God taught me how to love. Yet learning to love like Jesus took me so long that now that I'm in love the situation won't get better. It's slowly fading away from me.How can I love someone whose not here? Lord you promised me I could have this but how can I have something that's dead? What you said would be my marriage is dead!          

         Make it all make sense!

I wondered make this all make since God! How is this a part of your plan. I mean when you look at the story of Lazarus when Jesus showed up it said " Jesus Wept" Why would Jesus cry over something he could have prevented from happening. You knew its not like you didn't know!Make it all make sense! Hello Jesus!! I know you hear me!

  I gave up my life to follow Jesus yet the more I feel like I have a chance to get a head I can't. It's like im running a race that I cant win.I have more bills then I have money, more pain then I have joy, i pour out more love than i receive.  I knew it was going to be hard but im slowly getting numb because I know your in control but you just haven't shown up yet and if you show up how could you weep you watched it all fall apart? Lord make this all make sense. 

                                

Somethings will never be Answered

Sometimes we will never have an answer of why he waited or why he let Lazarus die. Yet he did. Sometimes our Lazarus can be a person who passes in our life who is never coming back but through him other people will live and find Christ. 

I look at my friends life who passed away though he was a Lazarus who died he brought life to my life. A place that's been dead because I never had to lose anyone before. He taught me to value what I have while I still have it because tomorrow is never promised. So often we wait for the perfect timing to get things right with people, or say the right words, or make the right actions, or have our life together to make the right moves, but by the time we do it Lazarus has died and our unspoken words and actions become regrets and what if's. Sometimes there is not a second chance at what you had but there is another chance to make other things right.

   Think about your life what if Lazarus never was raised again?Would he have been right with Christ because he was sick. There were people who walked around with Christ and were still in there sin. Look at Judas look at the some of the multitudes! We are only there for what we can get out Jesus and then we disappear or we wait for the perfect timing to receive life in Jesus Christ trying to put it off for so long when tomorrow is never promised and once your gone you don't get another chance at what you can have. The bible makes it clear in 

1 John 5:12 

He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. There can is life after death in heaven with Jesus! Yet only if you accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior! Salvation is a free gift you just have to want to redeem it for yourself!

                                            

Rising Dead Situations 

           John 11:23 Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.”

There is still hope because Jesus said there is. Hope in him because when he does show up Things have to change they can't stay the same! Everytime Jesus showed up somewhere lives changed the dead where raised, people were healed,restoration came to homes, things just happened.Not prolonged like that 4 days they waited for Lazarus to die. Yet Suddenly! The woman with the issue of blood bled for years and then suddenly she was healed by her faith, The demon possessed boy since youth and when Jesus showed up with faith he was healed. Jesus showed up at a place were a families heart was broken over there loss of their brother. Yet he gave them peace in knowing that there brother would rise again!

 When we have salvation in Christ we have assurance that oneday when Jesus shows up that we will oneday rise again in heaven.We will have that peace in knowing that we have eternal life. If Jesus came back tomorrow would you know for sure where you would go when you die? Have you given your life to Christ? This is the time Jesus is showing up to let you know that he can bring change but you have to have faith in him. ^{John 11:25-26} Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. ²⁶ And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”

Believing

Believing can be harder than you think. Unbelief will bring alot of people to hell. It left the Children of Israel in the wilderness only to die off there. Yet many people believed when Jesus showed up. Jesus asked Martha if she believed!John11:27 She said to Him, “Yes, Lord, I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.” All it takes is believing that he is the son of God who has come into the world that he die for your sin and on the third day rose again! Jesus was a dead situation yet he defeated death to bring life! They say that when someone dies life comes look at Christ when Christ died he brought everlasting life!!

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

                  Lessons Learned

Like I said people are never motivated for change when things are at peace. The recent death in my life sparked something in me to come to life that was dead. The lost of my friendship brought me to a place to lean completely on God.Yet I never thought id have to live without my best friend though its hard I can endure.! With God i can get through my loss. I can live for a while without my Lazarus though i dont want to ill be okay. If Jesus never shows up and changes the situation I know that I grew out of it. We learn to wait on the Lord, That his plan is always better even when death is involved. Look at Jesus he died on the cross for the souls of many! He still reigns !
