1 Kings 18:1

 And it came to pass after many days, that the word of the Lord came to Elijah in the third year, saying, Go, shew thyself unto Ahab; and I will send rain upon the earth.

Cause to go or be taken to a particular destination;

The other day I wanted it to Rain so that I could dance in it. So this guy on my facebook said not me I said well good  thing we live in different area's! The next day it rained the rain was sent to me. Yet it didn't rain where he was! God had sent the rain just to me!

Have you ever had someone send you something. Especially from another state you can be so impatient waiting for it to come in the mail because you want it now! You are in anticipating the part of having to open up the package in which you receive and seeing what is inside. Sometime I order things online and they have a date in which they say there will arrive yet sometimes they come faster the I expected to receive the package. Other times they come on time. Then I have a few times were somewhere I ordered something and It gets delayed on it's arrival! Sometimes we think that in our life just because God doesn't deliver when we want him to that what he has promised that he will never deliver. We pray to God like calling the company over and over again asking God  what happen to the blessing you said you were sending my way?  We believe that what he is sending is never going to come.  I  mean God told Elijah I'm going to send the rain it hadn't rained in 3 years you would think it take sometime before the rain would actually get there because there had been a lack for so long. When you have been waiting for something for so long you kind of get to a point of yeah sure! It's like when we go out and tell people Jesus is coming back there are people who think well when we been waiting a while for him. Yet just because he hasn't came doesn't mean he wont come. Just as what God has promised you just because it hasn't come to past yet doesn't mean its not true. Yet this Scripture say's  He is going to send the rain!

God's sending a blessing your way!

Signs of Rain

1 Kings 18:41-44

⁴¹ And Elijah said unto Ahab, Get thee up, eat and drink; for there is a sound of abundance of rain.

⁴² So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he cast himself down upon the earth, and put his face between his knees,⁴³ And said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up, and looked, and said, There is nothing. And he said, Go again seven times. And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, Behold, there ariseth a little cloud out of the sea, like a man's hand. And he said, Go up, say unto Ahab, Prepare thy chariot, and get thee down that the rain stop thee not.

Have you ever walked outside a just could tell it was going to rain. The clouds were gray, maybe it smelled like rain in the air, your bones ache, whatever the case maybe you could tell that  rain was on its way. You just know with in yourself though that the rain is coming. Rain is nothing you can control only God controls the rain. Elijah heard the sound of abundant rain he heard what it was that God was sending his way. Recently I just know that the rain is coming into my life I can just tell. The signs are all there! !There just a feeling and knowing that it's closer than it was.  I haven't been able to see it like at first with Ahab going back and forth he didn't see any signs of rain but Elijah knew it was coming. You know when you have those clear sky days and then next thing you know your caught in a down pour out of no were! No warning nothing. Yet about the seventh time of going back to check to see if the rain was coming, a small cloud began to Arise! Just because it's not raining doesn't mean that it won't keep checking for the rain. Pay attention to the signs as the rain gets closer when the cloud comes, when God keeps showing you signs of rain it's coming and getting closer!Are you ready?

Are You Ready?

Prepare:

To make ready beforehand for some purpose 

1 Kings 18:44

 And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, Behold, there ariseth a little cloud out of the sea, like a man's hand. And he said, Go up, say unto Ahab, Prepare thy chariot, and get thee down that the rain stop thee not.

When rain comes we get prepared! Rain boots, Rain Coat, Bonnet, Umbrella. Yet sometimes if we don't pay attention to the signs of the rain we are not prepared! Are you prepared?

The other day God told me to get storage bins to pack all my stuff up to move. Yet the means of what I have don't match me moving. So I kind of just went on my way thinking God didn't just tell me to get these bins did he. Until I went to the store and the guy next to us came out with a full cart of bins. Yet i still carried on with my life acting like Im not hearing what im hearing. Then I went to work and my boss had me wash out the bins. Okay God I get it!!Then I go to the store to get some bins and as soon as I walk in there is a woman whose carrying a hand full of bins! This is crazy!!!  I had lost my bank card so only had ten dollars on me go in the store the bins are $14.50 well God I don't have enough. So I go to walk outside to borrow money from my grandmother until I can find my bank card. As I go to walk outside a HUGE SIGN SAYS : STORAGE BINS 2 FOR $9 JUST AS ADVERTISED! So I bought the storage bins yet they just sat in my room. Until I was talking to this woman at church about how I've been teaching on direction how can God give us the next direction if we  haven't done what he wants us to do first! So God had me throw away everything else I had. When I finished I only had enough to fit in the two bins. In 2 Kings 4 Elisha told a woman to go borrow vessels so she could pay her debt. If she never borrowed the vessels she would have never received her blessing! She wouldn't have been prepared for what God was sending her  way. After she poured the little bit of left over oil she had into the vessels but as she poured she noticed the more she poured the more oil she had. Huh? How is that so! God took her little and turned it into alot!



                                                It was a Miracle!

                                                           


                                                     Out of No Where!

 2 Kings 3:15-20    Then it happened, when the musician played, that the hand of the Lord came upon him. ¹⁶ And he said, “Thus says theLord: ‘Make this valley full of ditches.’ ¹⁷ For thus says the Lord: ‘You shall not see wind, nor shall you see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, so that you, your cattle, and your animals may drink.’ ¹⁸ And this is a simple matter in the sight of the Lord; He will also deliver the Moabites into your hand. ¹⁹ Also you shall attack every fortified city and every choice city, and shall cut down every good tree, and stop up every spring of water, and ruin every good piece of land with stones.”²⁰ Now it happened in the morning, when the grain offering was offered, that suddenly water came by way of Edom, and the land was filled with water.

                                                                   

God had me get rid of my stuff because I needed to make room for the things God wants to bless me with! He had these people to dig ditches to prepare for the coming rain! Yet the rain that was coming it would be unexplained on how it got there! You wouldn't know which way it was coming from or even who it was coming from! It would happen suddenly! The passage said that when it came the land was filled with water!!! It was a Miracle! They didn't know how, see how, know the direction! Jesus always did miracles walking down the street! People would be living there life normally then suddenly Jesus showed up and things changed! Blind people were healed, the death were raised, when Jesus showed up he brought the rain! When Jesus shows up the Rain Comes!  

                                                       

I HEAR THE SOUND OF ABUNDANT RAIN!
