This is what it feels to be the one
Who’s standin’ left behind
There I was I had moved forward in life got off the streets was in college living a new lifestyle. Yet still in my life I was still struggling with issues in my life that I didn't know how to overcome! Then the day came when God told me to leave college. What God? I you must have this all wrong! Well when I took my step of faith I was placed infront of the one place I had always failed in, in my life! We all have a rough place in our life in which we fail in. We don't know how to overcome. We try time and time again yet we fail. We want to get it right but some how it seems like each try we still fail! We'll for a person who helps everyone with alot of things this was an area I just wasn't good in. I needed help. Yet when I went to ask help for in these area's in my life it seemed like no one wanted to help me! What's the point of asking for help if no one will help me. I got angry and told the person oneday your gonna find a hard place in your life that you can't overcome and your going to expect help and you will understand how I am feeling. Yet they still turned the other cheek. I felt destroyed and rejected! How does the person who helps so many people can't get help. Wow! Thanks society! I was like the Children of Israel stuck unable to move forward no matter how hard I tried! God was not going to let them move forward until they got the point!
Failure
1 Samuel 17:8-16
8 And he stood and cried unto the armies of Israel, and said unto them, Why are ye come out to set your battle in array? am not I a Philistine, and ye servants to Saul? choose you a man for you, and let him come down to me.
9 If he be able to fight with me, and to kill me, then will we be your servants: but if I prevail against him, and kill him, then shall ye be our servants, and serve us. And the Philistine said, I defy the armies of Israel this day; give me a man, that we may fight together.
11 When Saul and all Israel heard those words of the Philistine, they were dismayed, and greatly afraid.
12 Now David was the son of that Ephrathite of Bethlehemjudah, whose name was Jesse; and he had eight sons: and the man went among men for an old man in the days of Saul.
13 And the three eldest sons of Jesse went and followed Saul to the battle: and the names of his three sons that went to the battle were Eliab the firstborn, and next unto him Abinadab, and the third Shammah.
14 And David was the youngest: and the three eldest followed Saul.
15 But David went and returned from Saul to feed his father's sheep at Bethlehem.
16 And the Philistine drew near morning and evening, and presented himself forty days.

I know this word pretty well! Yet don't we all! The children of Israel as the stood in front of Goliath the Giant in their life. Couldn't move forward until Goliath was defeated. Until they conquered their Giant they would be serving it yet once they got over their Giant it would be serving them. Yet seeing that Goliath presented himself 40 days and no one stood up against the giant and won they were failing and serving their Giant. So why do we fail is it because of fear? The Children of Israel were so afraid. Do we fear that we will get it wrong? Especially if it's not the first time this battle has came infront of us. (ill allow myself to be vulnerable) Love has always been my greatest fear everytime it is placed in my face and I have an opportunity for someone to love me I run from it! Not because I want to but im afraid that someone might actually love me like I love them. Yet oneday they might not want to be here anymore! It's like taking a test I get nervous, my hands get sweaty, I question myself alot am i getting this right? Because I just want to pasd. Yet most of the time I just leave alot of my test(in this area) blank because im to afraid to pass to see what it may lead to like a long commitment. Thats a big word! Sometimes we are so afraid to pass the test because we are afraid of what may be next after we defeat our giant. Maybe its college, or a career, or ministry, or marriage. Whatever it is your fear is so great you keep failing. Sometimes your fears so great you dont even bother trying!
Correcting Your Mistakes!
1 Samuel 17:21-24
21 For Israel and the Philistines had put the battle in array, army against army.
22 And David left his carriage in the hand of the keeper of the carriage, and ran into the army, and came and saluted his brethren.
23 And as he talked with them, behold, there came up the champion, the Philistine of Gath, Goliath by name, out of the armies of the Philistines, and spake according to the same words: and David heard them.
24 And all the men of Israel, when they saw the man, fled from him, and were sore afraid.
Whenever you take a test the teacher marks off the answers that you get wrong! Only to let you know this is were you have to improve. Once you get this right you will be okay and capable of being able to pass. See the Children of Israel knew how to do everything like line up until they got to the giant. You only have to work on the places in your life in which you don't know! You don't need to fix the places you already know how to do right. Where they got it wrong each time is instead of standing up against the giant they would flee! They need to make sure they stood confident, in faith, knowing I can do this no matter how challenging it may look. Just as they had proved before once you know how to do something it comes easy. They lined up to face the giant 40 days they knew how to do that it was easy. Now to fix their mistakes! They would have to replace fear with faith and take charge instead of backing down! CONFIDENCE IS KEY! The reason Caleb and Joshua(Numbers13) could enter into the promise land is because they knew they were well able to overcome the promise land! Those who didn't never made it to the next place and were left behind in the wilderness! Just as these men were left behind standing behind Goliath day after day! Where are you going wrong?
Now Try Again
Joshua 1:1-6
1 Now after the death of Moses the servant of the Lord it came to pass, that the Lord spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' minister, saying,
2 Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.3 Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.
4 From the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast.
5 There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
6 Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.
Dont be afraid to Try again! Here Joshua was he had been in this same place before last time he had spied out the land! Yet this time he would possess it. Yet God had to keep telling him to be strong and courageous because he had been here before. Last time It didn't go so well. Yet this time he was going to overcome it. You will never know if you can do something if you don't try again! If you just stand there. What if Joshua stood there for the second time and said I am not doing this because last time I was here it lead me to a bad place? Yet he didn't he was going to cross that Jordan he was ready and he had prepared! His confidence he passed on to others around him!
Joshua 1:11
11 Pass through the host, and command the people, saying, Prepare you victuals; for within three days ye shall pass over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land, which the Lord your God giveth you to possess it.
He told them to prepare themselves for the next place in their life. When David ( 1 Samuel 17) showed up on the scene had a defeated a lion and a bear! He was ready! He didn't hesitate he tried! He wasn't afraid to try because he knew God was with him! When David tried he came out victorious! Joshua and the Children of Israel made it finally over the Jordan and into a land flowing with milk and honey. No longer serving a giant and no longer standing behind the Jordan! Yet Free and the Passed!
