Turning Down Life Changing Roads
Acts 9:1-6
1 Then Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest 2 and asked letters from him to the synagogues of Damascus, so that if he found any who were of the Way, whether men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem.3 As he journeyed he came near Damascus, and suddenly a light shone around him from heaven. 4 Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?”5 And he said, “Who are You, Lord? Then the Lord said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.[a] It is hard for you to kick against the goads.”6 So he, trembling and astonished, said, “Lord, what do You want me to do?”
Sometimes we go down roads in our lives that bring life changes! We all have been there taken turns in life thinking we would end up one place and end up another. Saul went to go kill Christian and when he turned down the road of Damascus he end up a christian himself. His life changed! Think about in your own life what is a road you have gone down in life thinking you would go one place but you end up in another due to a life changing incident !
Tired of going in circles with You!
Numbers 32:13
So the Lord’s anger was aroused against Israel, and He made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation that had done evil in the sight of the Lord was gone.
wan·der·ing
traveling aimlessly from place to place; itinerant.
After a while you get tired of wandering in the wilderness. Have you ever wanted something with someone or for someone but because they can't seem to grasp what you want for them or with them you cant move forward. God wanted to give the children of israel the promise land but instead of entering into the land they just sat at the edge of it! Wandering. After a while you get tired do you want this or do you not. Do you want Gods promise or do you not? But im tired of going in circles with you!
They Are Finally Getting Married
fi·nal·ly
after a long time, typically involving difficulty or delay.
Genesis 29:28-30 And Jacob did so, and fulfilled her week: and he gave him Rachel his daughter to wife also.29 And Laban gave to Rachel his daughter Bilhah his handmaid to be her maid.30 And he went in also unto Rachel, and he loved all so Rachel more than Leah, and served with him yet seven other years.
Jacob waited 7 years to marry Rachael and then another 7 years! 14 years for one woman! Thats love! I can only image when they finally got married. Omgosh finally it took forever. Everyone knows how much Jacob loved Rachael and everyone knew how much Rachael loved Jacob. Its like that couple that your like just hurry up and get married already you guys have been together long enough or keep running back to each other... Just tie the kNot! And then the time came.. they finally got married!
Your Transitioning Dont be Afraid
Joshua 1:9
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
Transition
the process or a period of changing from one state or condition to another.
Transition can be hard! Yet don't be afraid God is coming with you he will be there for you on your journey where ever life is taking you. Its not going to be easy all the time but its going to but it will be worth it. Are you ready to transition? Are you ready for the place God is about to take you? Dont' be afraid. Just like God was with Joshua transitioning into his promise land God will be with you transitioning into yours!
Job 8:7 Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase.
