"I Know It Ain't Easy Giving Up Your Heart "
Have you ever been in love yet because of past pain you find it hard to love, hard to trust,
hard to be vulnerable? You would give anything to love with a freedom instead of with a shield. How about that wall that blocks letting people in, maybe your like a house without doors you can't get out and won't let anyone in. Maybe you just can't trust God with your heart you have trust issue's. Most of life's important decisions are not to be made with the mind; they are to be made with the heart. Yet be cautious the bible says
Jeremiah 17:9 “The heart is deceitful above all things,And desperately wicked; Who can know it?.
Yet when you look at a few verse before that the bible says
When we trust in God when the hard times come we will be so rooted in him that we won't be moved in the good times and the bad times. You won't be able to shake up by your current circumstance or the task in which God may ask you. We look at Abraham God promised Abram a son who after years of waiting for God, God kept his promise. So one day in Genesis 22 God told Abraham to go offer Issac as a sacrifice God wanted to see that if he gave Abram what he always wanted would he choose God or would he choose his son. It's like going into Church and paying your tithes on Sunday it all belongs to God but are you willing to give back to him. When you asked Jesus to be your personal Lord and savior you asked him to come enter into your heart but how can you accept the savior into your heart if you don't trust him with it all. See Abram knew that God wanted to make him a Father of many nations, he had gone through enough things in life to understand that whatever God said do to do it no matter how crazy it sounded.Jeremiah 17:7-8 “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,And whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river,And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green,And will not be anxious in the year of drought,Nor will cease from yielding fruit.
The Sweet Sound of Rain
In a time where it had never rained before Noah built and ark for a great flood. Oh the sweet goodness of God knowing that he will bring the rain, that he Jesus will one day come like the rain does come. Noah knew that he must trust God no matter what things look like. Hebrews 11:7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.
Elijah trusted God he told Ahab that there is a sound of an Abundance of rain faith goes by hearing but not also hearing but doing James 1:22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. See when you look in 1 Kings 18:41-46 Elijah heard what God was about to do but in faith he told him to go up to the mountain 7 times by the 7th time he came back that's when the cloud had started to form and it rained a GREAT RAIN. There is a rain about to come in you life wither a blessing, an answer to prayer,a movement of God. Someday just as the flood and the rain came Jesus is going to come. No we can't always see it but if we trust in God he is faithful to do what he said.
In a drought in which Elijah prayed for he believed God and it was so. Just as when it began to rain James 5:17-18 Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit.
