Let Go and Let God

Recently my little brother wanted to watch a movie and I was sitting there on my computer. Now at this point I put myself as Gods as if I was God looking down at myself and also so many other people. I soon looked up to see my brother struggling to turn the TV to video and I said to him do you need help he said yes. So then I replied to him so when were you going to say something. I had been there in the room with him the whole time but not once did he ask me to help him. He wanted to do things on his own and the more he tried to do it on his own though I was right there he kept making things worst. So he finally asked me to help. So then I went over to help him and when I went to go help him he started to push my hands away and I said Hey didn’t you want me to help you so please wait so I can fix it. This is like God we try to put are hands in what he is trying to fix and keep making it worst. So I picked him up and moved him out the way and told him didn’t you ask me to help you so let me help you. So I fixed it and he pressed play on the dvd player but wasn’t patient enough to let the movie start. So again I had to look up to him and say stop give it time to start up yet he kept pressing all the buttons. Until finally he waited. So then my mother was watching a movie in the other room when my brother couldn’t hear his movie so he went back to turn the volume up. When he went to go turn the volume up he turned the channel again and the movie was ruined again. So i got up again and i fixed the tv one last time. Finally the movie started he finally sat down and enjoyed.

This is like our lives we don’t want to ask God for help though he is right there to help us with our issue. So we keep tampering with the issue only to make the issue worst. Just as I did God will look down at us and say so when are you going to ask for help. Then once we do ask for help we start trying to help him do what he needs to do so it prolongs us from getting to where we want to be. He says you ask me for help so why don’t you let me help you? So he can do what needs to be done if you would only just move out the way and let him work. Sometimes we won’t move out the way so just like I did my brother God will kindly move us out the way so that he can do what he needs to do. Yet we know that not everyone will go kindly so some end up getting the rod meaning we get spanked or hurt ourselves because we keep doing something that we don’t need to keep tampering with. That it doesn’t only hurt yourself but others around you. Just like an adult who knows that something bad can happen from you tampering in things you shouldnt God knows the things that we do that will allow us to hurt ourselves. Sometimes like any adult God will move us out the way and you learn why the adult moved you or tried to warn you not to do a certain thing. So just before we get so close to getting to the place we need to be.. Sometimes we start tampering with other things because we are to inpatient to wait for things to start. Now once things start up we maybe a little restless but we need to wait for things to start up. It can be hard because there can be a commotion from other places in your life but we need to keep focused. Yet do not go back to tampering back in the situation again. Yet remember if you just stand back and let God handle the situation. Then we can enjoy life once we get out the way and let God work.


The next day my brother came into my room asking me to get something for him. So I went to get it for him because he asked. The toy was placed up high he even explained to me what it looked like. So I went to look for it and it wasn’t there. So I told him baby it’s not here look in the toy box and so he began to rip things apart. I said put the stuff back when you’re done. Yet he after finding a toy after making a mess just made it known that he was just going to play tapped me and said pick that mess up. Confused I looked at him and said no you made that mess pick it up.

It made me wonder about God how we ask him for help we explain things to him. About our need once we learned to ask for help. So he helps us in the places in life we can reach. Yet then when he tells us to do what we can in the places we can't reach we still make a mess out of it and still expect God to pick it up. God is going to handle your situations in the places you can’t reach you just have to do what you can in the places that are in your reach. We need to learn how to meet God half way!
